It also serves as a legally binding agreement between you and Furlong, and includes a copy of our terms and conditions of sale, which can also be found here.
Item Reserves
While we generally suggest that our auctioneers sell your items at their discretion, we are open to setting a fixed reserve price, which is the minimum amount we will accept for an item. Please note that the reserve price cannot exceed the low estimate price. Our experts would be happy to discuss this with you.
Delivery
If you are unable to bring your items to us, we can help you arrange having the items delivered to us securely. The fee for this service can either be charged directly to you, or it can be taken from the auction proceeds. For more information, please contact us directly at info@furlongauctions.co.uk.

Charges.

Our standard vendor commission rate is 10% of the hammer price + VAT. At Furlong, there are no hidden, complicated fees. You pay 10% + VAT of the hammer price and that's it. If your item doesn't sell, there's nothing to pay.

Sales Results
Following the auction, you will receive an email notification outlining the hammer price(s) your item(s) reached. There will be a few days after the auction during which we will attempt to sell any unsold lots according to your reserve instructions. If we receive an offer below your reserve instructions after the auction, we will reach out to you for further discussion.
Payment
Our payment is made 14 days after payment is received from the buyer. Our commission owed and any other charges agreed will be deducted from the hammer price of the items sold. Payment will be made by bank transfer to the account specified when you set up your account with us. We will then send you a statement reconciling your account. Any fees and charges will be outlined on your statement.
Unsold Items
In the unlikely event that an item remains unsold, this will be indicated in the results document you receive after the auction, along with the hammer prices of successfully sold lots. The expert in charge of the auction will re-evaluate your item and contact you with their recommendations of a new estimate and reserve, and suggest a new auction, or they may suggest that you collect your item if they feel it is the most appropriate cause of action. If you decide you wish to collect your item, we request that you contact us by email at info@furlongauctions.co.uk and make an appointment to collect, or organise delivery.
